Stampin' Up! Blended Season Stamp Set

Did you grab the Stampin' Up! Limited Time only Blended Season stamp set last month (August)?  I hope you did, it's an awesome set...and I'm only now beginning to play with it. T his card is very much my style of cardmaking...simple, yet elegant.  Heat emboss the leaves image using Versamark and Black embossing powder, then colored those in using our Stamp n' Blends markers in Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler, Rich Razzleberry (Imagination At Play Color Challenge on Facebook).  The sentiment is from Stampin' Up!'s Colorful Season...absolutely adore this set, too...who am I kidding, I love them all!  And because y'all  know how much I love glimmer and shine I added a spritz or two of Perfect pearls in copper and gold.  (I mixed a tiny bit of Perfect Pearls and water together in the mister and there you go!) Take a look at the supplies I used to make this card. Product List Whisper White 8-1/2" X 11" Card Stock [ 100730 ] ...

Come Stamp with Me! - May 2018

OMG!!!! The long journey is over!  I've been trying desperately (ok, so maybe not desperately) to find a location suitable to host monthly stamp classes!  Another demonstrator friend of mine told me where she was hosting her classes and ding, ding, ding...a lightbulb went off. I contacted the facility and wooohooo!!!! they said absolutely!  So beginning in May (2018)...tadaaa Sweets' Creations will be hosting monthly classes at  Luby's in South Austin. Don't forget to RSVP! Happy Stampin!

Imagination At Play Color Challenge - Week of March 16, 2018

Today's card project is based on a color challenge from a Facebook group that I'm in, Imagination At Play.  I normally haven't been able to participate in the challenges, or if I do, I just haven't found the time to blog about them.  Well, I've decided, a change is just about due.  Not only will I participate in the challenges, BUT...I will blog about them AND create a video.  Oh man, what have I just committed myself too...let's have a go then... The color challenge for the week of March 16, 2018: use Stampin' Up! colors: Melon Mambo, Bermuda Bay, Whisper White and Lemon Lime Twist.  Here's the card I came up with.  What do you think?   It's a single-layered card (and I don't count the card base as a layer), standard A2 size card.  I mostly use 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" scored at 4 1/4".  I just prefer a right to left opening card versus a bottom to top opening card. There's a bit of second generation stamping as well as...
