Stamping with Friend Color Challenge

Hi, Stamping Friends! Welcome and thank you for joining me for another Stamping with Friends Blog Hop! If you are new to my blog, Stamping with Friends is a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators who share our love of card making with you through monthly blog hops with various themes. If you are following the hop, then you'll have just popped over from Tricia Butts of Tricia's Stamping Creations blog. I hope you took a minute to leave a comment for her as I'm sure she'll appreciate it just as much as I will. If you are starting the hop with me, thank you so much and I hope you enjoy what I and the other hoppers have prepared for you today!   The theme of this hop is a color challenge. A color challenge is designed to take colors that may be on the surface but just don't seem to coordinate and challenge you to use your creativity and incorporate them.  The chosen palette for this hop features these colors: Tahitian Tide, Sweet Sorbet, Mango Melody, and Paci

Roll of the Die #3

Hi all! So glad y'all could join us for another Roll of the Die episode. We-- Kathy, Michelle, and I--are excited to bring you another episode and thank you for sharing an hour of your time with us (if you watched the video before). If you watched episode 2, you'll see that the projects we had to create today had to include: fun-fold, paper piecing, congratulations, Stampin' Up! In-colors, and bling. We each only have 20 minutes to present our projects so I started and discarded many ideas, cause I thought they'd consume way too much time. So, in the end, I chose a very simple "fold" if you like. Here are the measurements for the card I created during the Live: Orchid Oasis card base: 5 1/2" x 8 1/2"; scored at 4 1/4" Cut a 1" strip from the card base on either side Shaded Spruce Card stock: 3 1/8" x 5 3/8" and 1" x 5 3/8" DSP: 3" x 5 1/4" and 7/8" x 5 1/4" Basic White: cut to size to fit the sentimen

Card Sketch #001

So....I learned a new skill (thanks to @Catherine Carroll)...how to create card sketches/layouts/templates whatever you choose to call them using Canva.  I can't say that I'm an expert at it, but it sure was fun learning.  I'm still wet behind the ears, but I'm excited to share the first one with you!   Very easy and very simple...you know me #simpleyetelegant is my style. So what do you think?  I'm a proponent of having measurements on templates...seeing as I usually can't figure them out for myself...so that's one thing I had to ensure that I included. So let me share with you the card I created using this layout! The focal image was created from the Technique Tuesday, Greenhouse Society April Stamp "Petunia" and colored using Stampin' Up! Stampin' Blends and some wink of Stella added for a touch of extra sparkle.  I used Stampin' Up! Regals DSP (an often overlooked item in the catalog...in-color, regals, neutrals, brights, an

But this was a good thing! It meant I got to be present and in the moments with family...amazing!  This hop
