December Stamp 'n Sip

Ho! Ho! Ho!  Yesterday was the last Stamp 'n Sip class of 2019 and I'd like to thank all of you who participated and showed your support of my inaugural year of hosting classes.  I hope next year to grow class participation to include more "new" stampers.  Well, let's get to it then...here are the card designs for yesterday's class. We made three holiday cards (I call them holiday cards, because I typically don't get mine out in the mail until after Christmas...procrastinate much? 😁😁) As a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, the products used in my Stamp 'n Sip projects are courtesy of Stampin' Up!  I focused on products from the 2019 Holiday Catalog.  The first card was made using products from the Most Wonderful Time All-Inclusive Product Medley (page 39), the DSP from the Christmas Time is Here Suite. The second card, I used products from the Wrapped in Plaid Suite (page 13):  the Wrapped in Plaid DSP, the Perfectly Plaid stamp set

Sketch Challenge Week of May 6, 2019

Y'all know Pinterest is my weakness.  I can spend hours going down some rabbit holes of awesomeness.  Well, I've discovered card sketches...yup...card sketches.  What's awesome about them?  The thing is, it's amazing to see the creativity and the final projects that different people come up with using the same idea.  Join me weekly as I pick a sketch from multiple sources such as Pinterest or Splitcoast Stampers and share what I've come up with.  I invite you to use that sketch and share your projects with me on my Facebook page. So last week's sketch challenge I found on Pinterest courtesy of Sunday Sketches My card making style is pretty simple.  I don't do too many layered pieces, so this was a bit of a challenge for me.  What I enjoyed most about the Sunday Sketches, is that the designer provides the card dimensions and I don't have to do too much guessing about what the layered pieces are.  My only "challenge" was deciding on what stam

Dearly Doily, Dear Doily

Thar's a hole in da bucket, dear doily, dear doily...oh wait, wrong song!  Every creative person finds inspiration from everywhere.  In a Facebook group that I'm in, we had a month-long challenge to seek inspiration from various places.  This time, it was to seek inspiration from another Facebook group called Demonstrator Planning Place (sorry, must be a current Stampin' Up! demonstrator...don't worry, I got you covered if you'd like to become a Stampin' Up! demonstrator).   I also chose to make sure I love on some of my stamps that has never been loved by some ink (meaning I purchase them just to look at them, right?...not really).  I purchased them, because I loved them and thought you would too.     I CAS'd this project from Melody Tess Robins...meet Dear Doily...  Don't forget...Sale-a-bration ends today, March 31st, so if there was something you really, really wanted and absolutely had to have, get it today!  Yes, you can wait for the retired/d

Beauty Abounds Friendship

Hi everyone and Happy Martin Luther King, Jr's birthday weekend!  Tomorrow, my team and I will be participating in the Austin MLK Parade and Festival starting at the University of Texas (Austin) campus and ending at the Huston Tillotson campus and I'm totally looking forward to it. Please share if you decide to CAS this card. On another note, we are about four weeks now into the federal government shutdown here in the USA and I hurt for my fellow federal government employees and I'm saying a little prayer for them and their families. On a craftier note, yesterday, I hosted my Inaugural Stamp Class at Austin Java on Metropolis and I had seven (7) awesome stampers from my Fabulous Fun Friday Stampers group come out to show some support.  In my stamp club, I designed three cards that appeal to all stamping levels.  Take a look at this one.  I'm going to use my embossing folders more.  Quick, simple, yet elegant cards. Happy Stampin'! Product List

Storage Series: 6 x 6 Paper Holder

Storage If you are anything like me, your work area stays a constant mess and maybe out of a 16" x 16" workspace you have maybe all of 6" of it available to you.  Although I don't regularly make non-greeting card paper projects, purchasing them can become quite expensive.   In this past year, I've participated in several Stampin' Up! paper shares.  A paper share offers the opportunity to receive samples of all the new paper releases offered by Stampin Up from their newest Annual, Holiday, Occasions, or Sale-a-bration catalogs.  That way you (as a demonstrator or as a customer) has the opportunity to "try before you buy"!  Additionally, Stampin' Up!'s 6x6 paper packs are no longer bound. Thanks to a YouTube Video from Nigezza Creates, I've implemented this storage system to create envelopes for my 6X6 paper shares and SU's unbounded 6x6 paper packs and store them in photo boxes that I can get at Michael's especially when th
