It's that time again...time for another Roll of t he Die.  This month, we have a new demonstrator, Karen Finley, joining us and I'm excited to share her talents with you. Karen lives in Arlington, TX. As a reminder, the elements the die rolled that we had to incorporate into our projects were: Thanks, Dry Emboss, Brights, Fancy Fold and we had to incorporate foil or DSP. So, where to begin...Colors. The Stampin' Up! Brights collection includes Bermuda Bay, Coastal Cabana, Daffodil Delight, Flirty Flamingo, Granny Apple Green, Mango Melody, Melon Mambo, and Poppy Parade. Now...which of these do I choose...hmmm...my wheelhouse is in the regals and neutrals so this one is a little challenging for me.  Next, which fancy fold do I want to showcase and how does it fit in with the other element...oh, and BTW, we only have 30 minutes to present our projects. I chose to demonstrate a collar fold card. Easy peasy lemon squeezy... Measurements: Base (Daffodil Delight): 8 1/2" x 5...

 I hope you are truly enjoying the Roll of the Die series that I bring to you monthly, because I surely do enjoy doing them...the creativity, the comraderie, the friendships, and the community.   This month, the elements included: sponging, over-the-top, sympathy, die-cuts, and using colors from the Stampin' Up! Brights collection. My style of cardmaking is generally simple yet elegant so "over-the-top" was a little challenging for me...especially when paired with sympathy.  Oi' ve! I initially made this card...it met all of the elements, but then I thought with the time constraints, I wouldn't have time to demonstrate it properly during the video.  This card I used the copper foil and the retired Soaring Swallows Bundle So I came up with another idea that I demonstrated on YouTube.
