Hi, so glad you decided to pop in to see what I have in store for you today.
This is my inaugural blog hop with Stamping with Friends. Stamping with Friends is a group of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators who enjoy sharing our love of paper crafting in general and for me, more specifically, card making with you. The group hosts two hops every month.
The theme for this hop showcases retiring sets, bundles, or products from the January - June 2021 mini catalog that retires at the end of this month. I chose to feature the Vine Design Bundle. I was drawn to this bundle for many reasons; first, the die cuts are elegant and can stand alone to create a beautiful, simple yet elegant card, second, the sentiments also make it a very versatile set that covers multiple occasions, and third, I could see the possibilities with one of my favorite masking and blending techniques. I hope you enjoy this hop and the cards I created to share with you.
This first card highlights the masking and ink blending technique. Using a circle stencil, I masked off the outer edges of the card panel. Next with the blending brushes, from lightest to darkest, I ink blended Pale Papaya, Grapefruit Grove, and Soft Seafoam. After removing the mask, then stamped the beautiful leafy branch image in Evening Evergreen which I heat embossed multiple times with clear embossing powder. On a piece of scrap basic white, I stamped the banner outline, then the sentiment (which I heat embossed too, by the way) and then mounted it with dimensionals to the mat layer added some Nuvo drops, let dry then add this to the card front. My second card (in the blog, the first I created with this bundle), focuses on using the dies. I was inspired by a card on Pinterest created by fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrator, Mary Fish. I chose to die cut the rectangular piece on some rose gold foil paper, and then again 3 more times, 2 from basic white cardstock and 1 in basic black to add a little more depth to the project. Added it to basic white card panel, embellished with Nuvo drops again, then stamped and die cut the sentiment from the stamp set to complete my #simpleyetelegant card.
Please contact your Stampin’ Up! demonstrator if you have any questions or to make a product purchase. I would be happy to answer any questions about products or the techniques shown here. If you do not have a demonstrator, you can use the Shop my Online Store link to the right to order products from me.
Don't forget to check out the last chance items from the January to June Mini Catalog...all items are while supplies last.
