My Favorite Sale-A-Bration Item

 Hello, Stampers!

Thanks for stopping by to visit me on another Stamping with Friends Blog hop! We are a group of Independent Demonstrators with Stampin' Up! who enjoy paper crafting and sharing our creations with each other and with you!

Oh boy!  So much has happened...by now, if you are a VIP customer of mine, you should have received your copies of the new July - December 2021 Mini and the Sale-A-Bration (SAB) catalogs. (Note: if you don't have the catalogs, don't have a demonstrator, and would like to, I'd be more than happy to send you a catalog*.) Guess what, all items in both catalogs became available for ordering on Tuesday, August 3, 2021. Leave me a comment and let me know what your favorite item is in the Sale-A-Bration catalog.

So, one of my favorite items from the SAB catalog was the Delicate Dahlias set, but I'd never grown them nor had I ever seen one in person (not that I can recall anyway), so I wasn't quite sure about their colors.  So I went to trusty Google to get some inspiration.  And as usual, Google did not disappoint.  This is such a beautiful flower and it comes in so many different colorways.

Scrolling through Google, I came across this image and the colors that shouted out to me were: Polished Pink, Pale Papaya and Evening Evergreen (I wanted to stay with the In Colors).  Do you agree with me?

What I love about this set, is its versatility.  You have the opportunity to stamp the images for coloring (watercolors, Stampin' Blends, or any other method); use it as a Distinctive stamp OR, you can use it as a two-step stamp...you have the opportunity to achieve a totally different colored look...stay tuned for another card project featuring this set using the alternate stamping/coloring methods.

Ok...colors are decided, now what?  Fancy fold, standard A2 card? Well, I had just watched a YouTube Video by SU Demonstrator, Ronda Wade and thought I'd use that. It's a simple gatefold card.

Cutting Dimensions:
Card base: 4 1/4" x 11" scored at 2 3/4" on both sides.
DSP: (2) 2 1/2" x 4"
Colored cardstock: big enough to die cut the layer panel.
Basic White:

Easy peasy assembly:
Burnish the score lines on the card base
Add the DSP to each of the fold
Die-cut the scalloped border

Stamp and color the Dahlia, then stamp and heat emboss the sentiment.
Add the ribbon and tie a bow
Add the basic white panel to the scalloped layer using Stampin' Dimensionals
Add the scalloped panel to the card base being mindful to only adhere it to one of the fold panels...and there you have it!

Thank you so much for stopping by to see what I created using my favorite item from the new Sale-A-Bration Catalog.  I truly hope you enjoyed my card.  Please take a moment to stop by the other artisans to see what they've created.  Next up in the blog hop is Libby Fens

    1. Thank you, Tricia. I don't color nearly as much as I used to, but the Stampin' Blends make it so much easier.
