Stampin' Up! Fresh Cut Flowers Clean and Simple - Roll of the Die #10 Challenge Card

Happy New Year and thanks for joining us for the first Roll of the Die YouTube Hop. Hop, that's right...you'll get to "hop" to the other hoppers' YouTube channels to see them create projects using the same elements. Just as previously, only this time, there are no time limitations on creating our projects.

Today’s card is for the Roll The Die Challenge # 10. Last month, the dies landed on the following criteria for our cards this month:

-Layering -In Colors -Embellishment -Friendship -Clean and Simple

While I love clean and simple card-making, knowing when to stop adding embellishments and layers can be a bit of a challenge.

This is the card I designed as a guide to the project I'll be creating for you during the hop. The supplies for both projects will be listed.

Because it was a clean and simple card, I chose to use mostly basic white cardstock and added pops of color. In the sample, I used Granny Apple Green, Poppy Parade, Melon Mambo, and a little Crumb Cake.

For the card created during the Hop, I'm using Starry Sky, Parakeet Party, and Tempting Turquoise.

Measurements:

Basic White:

  •     8 1/2" x 5 1/2"; scored at 4 1/4"
  •     4" x 5 1/4"
  •     2 3/4" x 4 3/4"

Stampin' with Friends Technique Blog Hop - Masking

Hi there, Stamping Friends!  It's time for another Stamping with Friends Blog Hop.  As you know, Stamping with Friends is a group of Stampin' Up! Independent Demonstrators who enjoy paper crafting, creating cards, and other projects to share with each other and with you. If you've arrived from Karen's blog, welcome!  This time, the theme is to create a card or project based on a favorite technique.  There are sooooo many techniques that I love but with this project, I'm going to focus mainly on two.  Can you guess what one of them is? Yup, you guessed it...masking!  There're so many things you can do with this technique from: simple masking to creating seamless backgrounds and adding depth...hmmm, I think I've decided to do a blog series focusing on the different things you can do with masking. For this post, I chose to start with a simple spotlight masking technique. Let me show you how I created this card. Now I incorporated several other techniques (dry ...

Stampin' with Friends Blog Hop Vine Design

Hi, so glad you decided to pop in to see what I have in store for you today.   This is my inaugural blog hop with Stamping with Friends. Stamping with Friends is a group of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators who enjoy sharing our love of paper crafting in general and for me, more specifically, card making with you. The group hosts two hops every month.   The theme for this hop showcases retiring sets, bundles, or products from the January - June 2021 mini catalog that retires at the end of this month.  I chose to feature the Vine Design Bundle. I was drawn to this bundle for many reasons; first, the die cuts are elegant and can stand alone to create a beautiful, simple yet elegant card, second, the sentiments also make it a very versatile set that covers multiple occasions, and third, I could see the possibilities with one of my favorite masking and blending techniques. I hope you enjoy this hop and the cards I created to share with you. This first card highlights the m...
