Modern Garden Walk in the Park - A Stamping With Friend Bloghop

Hello everyone, and welcome back! It's the third Saturday of the month...time for another Blog Hop!
Thank you for joining us for another Stamping with Friends Blog Hop! If you are new to my blog, Stamping with Friends is a group of Stampin' Up!® demonstrators worldwide who share our love of card-making through monthly blog hops with various themes. If you are following the hop, you'll have just popped over from Jana Secord's- "Crazy Stampin Lady's "blog. I hope you took a minute to leave a comment for her as I'm sure she'll appreciate it as much as I will. If you are starting the hop with me, thank you so much and I hope you enjoy what I and the other hoppers have prepared for you today!

Today's theme is all about sharing highlights from the newly released (9/6/23) September - December Mini Catalog. I had already decided to focus on the Garden Walk Suite Collection this month, so I've had a bit of a play so check out the gallery of cards that I've made thus far over on my Pinterest board.

The Garden Walk Suite Collection includes the Modern Garden Stamp set,
Modern Oval Punch, Garden Walk Designer Series Paper (DSP), Calypso Coral ribbon, and Blooming Pearls.  For today's project, I'm going to try to incorporate all the elements of the suite.

When you comment on the blog post and/or share the video, you'll receive a downloadable PDF tutorial to create this card.

Measurements are:

  • Basic white; 1 ¾” x 5 ¼” , 4” x 4 ¼”, scrap for punch/die cut
  • Pretty Peacock: 2 ¼” x 5 ¼”, scrap for punch/die cut
  • Designer Series Paper: 2 1/8” x 5 1/8” , ¾” x 3”
  • Designer Series Paper (different print): 1 ¼” x 3”

I hope these and the other projects serve to inspire your creativity.   Speaking of catalogs, if you don't have a Stampin' Up! demonstrator and would like a catalog, reach out to me. I'd love to get one out to you and to serve as your demonstrator. For my contribution to this blog hop, I chose the "In the Moment" set. I fell in love with this set, "In The Moment", the moment I opened my order and saw it.  This was another of the FREE swag bag produc...

Stampin' with Friends Technique Blog Hop - Masking

Hi there, Stamping Friends!  It's time for another Stamping with Friends Blog Hop.  As you know, Stamping with Friends is a group of Stampin' Up! Independent Demonstrators who enjoy paper crafting, creating cards, and other projects to share with each other and with you. If you've arrived from Karen's blog, welcome!  This time, the theme is to create a card or project based on a favorite technique.  There are sooooo many techniques that I love but with this project, I'm going to focus mainly on two.  Can you guess what one of them is? Yup, you guessed it...masking!  There're so many things you can do with this technique from: simple masking to creating seamless backgrounds and adding depth...hmmm, I think I've decided to do a blog series focusing on the different things you can do with masking. For this post, I chose to start with a simple spotlight masking technique. Let me show you how I created this card. Now I incorporated several other techniques (dry ...

Stampin' with Friends Blog Hop Vine Design

Hi, so glad you decided to pop in to see what I have in store for you today.   This is my inaugural blog hop with Stamping with Friends. Stamping with Friends is a group of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators who enjoy sharing our love of paper crafting in general and for me, more specifically, card making with you. The group hosts two hops every month.   The theme for this hop showcases retiring sets, bundles, or products from the January - June 2021 mini catalog that retires at the end of this month.  I chose to feature the Vine Design Bundle. I was drawn to this bundle for many reasons; first, the die cuts are elegant and can stand alone to create a beautiful, simple yet elegant card, second, the sentiments also make it a very versatile set that covers multiple occasions, and third, I could see the possibilities with one of my favorite masking and blending techniques. I hope you enjoy this hop and the cards I created to share with you. This first card highlights the m...
