Spring crafting is officially in full bloom! Today I’m sharing a sweet and cheerful handmade card featuring the Stampin’ Up!® Easter Joy Suite Collection—a perfect blend of soft pastels, playful patterns, and charming Easter details.

This project highlights everything we love about spring: florals, gingham, Easter eggs, and soft textures layered together for a dimensional, eye-catching design.---

🌷 A Closer Look at the Card

At the heart of this design is a beautifully layered Easter basket filled with patterned eggs. The combination of textures and coordinating papers makes this card feel polished yet playful.

Design Details:

🧺 Layered basket focal point with soft blue ribbon detail

🥚 Patterned Easter eggs in chevron, polka dots, stripes, and glitter accents

🌸 Coordinating floral designer paper along the bottom panel

💚 Soft pastel gingham background for that classic spring touch

✨ Subtle embellishments for added dimension and shine

The mix of patterns works effortlessly because the suite was designed to coordinate perfectly—no second-guessing color combinations!

Why I Love the Easter Joy Suite

The Easter Joy Suite Collection makes it easy to create:

Handmade Easter cards

Treat holders for baskets

Faith-inspired projects

Scrapbook layouts celebrating springtime memories

Everything coordinates beautifully, allowing you to layer designer series paper, dies, embellishments, and ribbon without overwhelm.

💡 Design Tips from This Card

If you’re recreating this look, here are a few techniques to try:

1. Layer for Depth – Use dimensionals behind the basket and eggs to make the focal point pop.

2. Mix Patterns Confidently – Stick to coordinating colors within the suite for a cohesive look.

3. Add Texture with Ribbon – A soft bow instantly elevates a simple die-cut shape.

4. Ground Your Design – Use a patterned strip across the bottom to anchor your focal image.

Perfect for Sharing Joy

Easter is such a meaningful and joy-filled season. A handmade card like this adds a personal touch that store-bought cards simply can’t match. Whether you’re sending love to family, church friends, neighbors, or clients, this suite helps you create something heartfelt and memorable.

If you’d like measurements or a step-by-step tutorial for this card, let me know in the comments—I’d love to share more!

For those of you who are unfamiliar, Stamping with Friends is a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators who share our love of card making with you through monthly blog hops with various themes.  This month, we are sharing with you sneak peeks from the January - June 2022 Mini Catalog.  If you've come from  Mo Rootes'  blog, then you saw her project using the  Stampin' Up! Stampin' with Friends Technique Blog Hop - Masking

Hi there, Stamping Friends!  It's time for another Stamping with Friends Blog Hop.  As you know, Stamping with Friends is a group of Stampin' Up! Independent Demonstrators who enjoy paper crafting, creating cards, and other projects to share with each other and with you. If you've arrived from Karen's blog, welcome!  This time, the theme is to create a card or project based on a favorite technique.  There are sooooo many techniques that I love but with this project, I'm going to focus mainly on two.  Can you guess what one of them is? Yup, you guessed it...masking!  There're so many things you can do with this technique from: simple masking to creating seamless backgrounds and adding depth...hmmm, I think I've decided to do a blog series focusing on the different things you can do with masking. For this post, I chose to start with a simple spotlight masking technique. Let me show you how I created this card. Now I incorporated several other techniques (dry ...

Stampin' with Friends Blog Hop Vine Design

Hi, so glad you decided to pop in to see what I have in store for you today.   This is my inaugural blog hop with Stamping with Friends. Stamping with Friends is a group of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators who enjoy sharing our love of paper crafting in general and for me, more specifically, card making with you. The group hosts two hops every month.   The theme for this hop showcases retiring sets, bundles, or products from the January - June 2021 mini catalog that retires at the end of this month.  I chose to feature the Vine Design Bundle. I was drawn to this bundle for many reasons; first, the die cuts are elegant and can stand alone to create a beautiful, simple yet elegant card, second, the sentiments also make it a very versatile set that covers multiple occasions, and third, I could see the possibilities with one of my favorite masking and blending techniques. I hope you enjoy this hop and the cards I created to share with you. This first card highlights the m...
