Couture Grace In Da Craft Room with Caron

Don’t Let Anyone Dull Your Sparkle ✨

There’s something so special about creating a handmade card that not only looks beautiful but carries an uplifting message. Today’s project is all about confidence, joy, and embracing your inner sparkle!

This elegant card features a stunning illustration paired with soft, dreamy colors and delicate details that truly bring the design to life. The focal point sentiment, “Don’t let anyone dull your sparkle,” serves as a gentle reminder we all need from time to time.

💖 Featured Products

For this card, I used the Pinkfresh Studios Couture Grace Bundle, which made it so easy to create a cohesive and polished look. The bundle includes beautifully designed stamps, coordinating dies, and layering stencils that work together seamlessly.

🎨 Design Details

I started by building a soft, blended background using light pastel tones to create a subtle glow behind the focal image. This helps draw the eye right to the center while keeping the overall look airy and elegant.

The gorgeous girl image was colored in shades of blue for her dress, giving it a soft shimmer effect that enhances the “sparkle” theme. Her pink hair adds the perfect pop of contrast and personality!

To add dimension:

- The focal image was popped up using foam adhesive
- Sentiment was layered on a banner for emphasis
- Light splatter details were added for a whimsical finish

And of course—no sparkle-themed card is complete without a little shimmer! ✨

🌸 Why I Love This Card

What I love most about this design is how versatile it is. It can be used for:

- Encouragement
- Birthdays
- Friendship cards
- Just-because moments

It’s the kind of card that instantly lifts someone’s spirit—and honestly, we all need more of that.

💌 Final Thoughts

Handmade cards have a way of saying things that words alone sometimes can’t. This one is a reminder to stand tall, shine bright, and never let anything dim your light.

If you recreate this design or use the Couture Grace Bundle, I’d love to see what you make! Share your creations and keep spreading that sparkle. ✨

Stampin' with Friends Technique Blog Hop - Masking

Hi there, Stamping Friends!  It's time for another Stamping with Friends Blog Hop.  As you know, Stamping with Friends is a group of Stampin' Up! Independent Demonstrators who enjoy paper crafting, creating cards, and other projects to share with each other and with you. If you've arrived from Karen's blog, welcome!  This time, the theme is to create a card or project based on a favorite technique.  There are sooooo many techniques that I love but with this project, I'm going to focus mainly on two.  Can you guess what one of them is? Yup, you guessed it...masking!  There're so many things you can do with this technique from: simple masking to creating seamless backgrounds and adding depth...hmmm, I think I've decided to do a blog series focusing on the different things you can do with masking. For this post, I chose to start with a simple spotlight masking technique. Let me show you how I created this card. Now I incorporated several other techniques (dry ...

Stampin' with Friends Blog Hop Vine Design

Hi, so glad you decided to pop in to see what I have in store for you today.   This is my inaugural blog hop with Stamping with Friends. Stamping with Friends is a group of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators who enjoy sharing our love of paper crafting in general and for me, more specifically, card making with you. The group hosts two hops every month.   The theme for this hop showcases retiring sets, bundles, or products from the January - June 2021 mini catalog that retires at the end of this month.  I chose to feature the Vine Design Bundle. I was drawn to this bundle for many reasons; first, the die cuts are elegant and can stand alone to create a beautiful, simple yet elegant card, second, the sentiments also make it a very versatile set that covers multiple occasions, and third, I could see the possibilities with one of my favorite masking and blending techniques. I hope you enjoy this hop and the cards I created to share with you. This first card highlights the m...
