Hello There!

 Hello, stampers!

Thanks for stopping in today to see what I have in store for you!  I've been a member of Splitcoast Stampers for a while now, but just recently (as in the first time) started participating in the color challenges.
Every week, the host posts a color combination and everyone is invited to create a project that incorporates the chosen palette.  For my first foray into the color challenge, I started with CC844 which spotlights Stampin' Up! So Saffron, Pool Party, and Mint Macaron.  I made two cards for this challenge and I hope you enjoy them both.

The first card I made, came about as my participation in #mysterymondaystamping presented by fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrator, Sharon Armstrong.  In this project, I let the challenge colors in the retired DSP do most of the work.  I also used the challenge colors to color the bird image from the A Touch of Ink (retired) stamp set.  I used kind of a "thumping" technique to color the fill image in the set.  I started with the So Saffron ink and colored the entire image, then using ink daubers, I randomly added the Mint Macaron and Pool Party colors to complete the coloring...a little hot air (huffing) to activate the colors again I then colored the outline image.

My second submission was more of a #simplestamping project that for the inclusion of the twine, could have been a SIP (stamps, ink, and paper) card. This time I used the new Flowers of Friendship stamp set and Sweet Strawberry for the sentiment.  A very simple, yet elegant card.  I stamped the floral image, colored it with Stampin' Blends (So Saffron and Mint Macaron), added some Nuvo drops and the twine to complete the project.

Leave me a comment to let me know which you like more.  I know which one I like.
