Ink to Stamp - Celebrate Sunflowers

So today, I share this card I created using the Stampin' Up! Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set.  This card was created for a "sunflower" themed card swap for a swap group I'm in on Facebook called, The Card Shack.  It also gave me the opportunity to put ink to stamp.

In this card, I used masking, heat embossing, and water coloring...yes, water coloring, techniques to create this simple card.

I started by stamping the image on the left with Versafine Clair Pinecone.  I created a mask, covered the first image then stamped the second...I had a little too much space (or so I thought) but kept on going by masking the second image and stamping the third.  If I had wanted the middle image to be in the forefront, then I would have stamped and masked it first then stamped the left and right sunflower image.

Because of the drying time of the Versafine Clair, I was still able to add clear embossing powder over the complete image then heat set it with the heating tool.

I broke out the Stampin' Up! Water Color pencils and added my colors. Once the panel was completely dried, I took a sponge dauber and added color to the center of each sunflower. I stamped the sentiment directly on the panel then punched it out with the label punch.  Used the same punch to punch a matting layer in Cherry Cobbler and there you have it...card complete.

Cutting:

Basic White:
- 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", score at 4 1/4"
- 4" x 5 1/4"
Cherry Cobbler: Scrap for sentiment layer

I hope you try this card and if you do, please share it with.

Happy Stamping!

Hello Fall Y'all! - Pretty Pumpkins

Welcome and Happy Fall Y'all! Thanks for stopping by Sweets' Stampin' Creations, where I share card  projects created using Stampin' Up! products.  It's time for another Stamping With Friends blog hop!  I'm hopping with some awesome paper crafters and stampers from the Stamping With Friends Facebook Group.  For this post, it's all about Fall. I love this time of year...although I live in Texas and don't get to experience the changing of the seasons as dramatically as my college years when I lived in Worcester, MA...I still remember the colors of the season and the changing of temperatures from hot to cool (not cold).    Fall, the time of the year between Summer and Winter (usually between September and December) heralds in pumpkin season (pumpkin spice, pumpkin pie...you get the drift), soup season, leaves changing colors, cooler weather, apple picking (I've never done that), etc. T here are so many ways to celebrate this season of the year.  ...
