The theme for today's hop is "Flowers". I chose to start using products from the newly released 2022-2023 Annual Catalog so today's card features the Happiness Abounds Bundle and two of
the new In-colors: Parakeet Party and Sweet Sorbet. I also used a new technique that I'd learned in the Creativate Spring '2022 Retreat called the "bubble technique".

The inspiration for the layout of my card came courtesy of the SplitCoastStampers Sketch Challenge (SC904). As you'll see shortly, I took a couple of liberties to make this card.
The sketch didn't include measurement so I kinda had to wing it there and I'll share those measurements with you:
Measurements:
Card base (Basic White): A2 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"
Basic White:
Layer 1: 4" x 5 1/4"
Layer 2: 3 3/4" x 5" (I cut 2 pieces)
Layer 3: 1 3/4"x 5"
Basic White: (2) 1 1/4" square; (1) 1 1/2" square
Scrap:
Sweet Sorbet: (2) 1 3/8" square
Parakeet Party: 1 5/8" square
I added a small hint of color to the 3 3/4" panel using the bubble technique, then using the Fern 3D embossing folder and the mini Stampin' Cut 'n Emboss machine I added some texture. After which I added a little more color by using the blending brushes in Parakeet Party. I used the bubble technique again on the 1 3/4" panel to add some color then stamped and heat embossed the sentiment about mid-way. Next, using adhesive, I added the 1 3/4" panel to the 3 3/4" panel.
I cut the squares as indicated in the measurements and stamped and colored the images after which I adhered them to the coordinating color mat layer.
On a piece of scrap basic white, I stamped and die-cut the floral and leaf images in Sweet Sorbet and Parakeet Party respectively. I used the wink of stella pen to apply color to the images. I adhered two of the die-cut leaves to the floral image using some glue dots, then added Stampin' dimensionals to the entire floral image.
Lastly, I assembled it all to create the complete card. So what do you think of my card? Leave me a comment or 2 and let me know. Stay tuned for a video and a FREE tutorial on how I created this card.
