Stamp Time Friends Roll of the Die #12

Hello Stampin friends!  It's time for episode 12...yes, 12...of Roll of the Die.  We've been doing them for a whole year now...go us!  What is "roll of the die" you may ask?  Well, I purchased these stamping dies from Tada Moments on Etsy.  There are five (5) dies in the set and each die has different stamping elements on them such as color family, technique, theme, etc. Tamra is a Stampin' Up! demonstrator so the dies have some Stampin' Up! specific references. So here goes...

At the end of last month's video when I rolled the die, the elements were:

  • Monochromatic
  • Subtles
  • Sponging
  • Ribbon/Twine
  • "Thank You"
Measurements used in today's card can be found in the free tutorial:

New Colorful Kaleidoscope Kit

The Colorful Kaleidoscope Kit ($23) is an all-inclusive kit filled with geometric shapes, and layering the peek-through laser cuts on your projects will create a kaleidoscopic effect.

You'll be able to make 3 each of the 3 different designs with coordinating envelopes, with the folded cards measuring 5½" x 4¼" (14 x 10.8 cm). The all-occasion sentiments in the included photopolymer stamp set match perfectly with the gold foil-edged die cuts. Mini Stampin' Dimensionals, Foam Adhesive Strips, and additional adhesives are all included, along with gold-brushed metallic embellishments.

A Gray Granite Stampin' Spot is contained within the kit, and additional coordinating colors are Bermuda Bay, Calypso Coral, Night of Navy, and Petal Pink.

Don’t forget you can check out the full range of kits available at any time in my online store.

Creative Inspiration with a Color Combination

Here's this month's color combination:
And here's the project it inspired:
This easy fancy fold card uses "stamping off" to create multiple shades of blues and greens to complete the floral design.

The card base was cut from Balmy Blue Cardstock, and half of the front panel was removed. A patterned paper strip was added to the remaining section of the front panel, cut from the Balmy Blue floral design from the Regency Park 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper.

The leaf outline image from the Petal Park Stamp Set was stamped on Basic White Cardstock in Shaded Spruce. The leaf filler image was also stamped over the top in Shaded Spruce, but after being "stamped off" on grid paper to create a lighter shade. The image was cut out using the largest 3" circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies. The floral outline image from the same stamp set was stamped on Basic White Cardstock in Night of Navy, and the floral filler image stamped over the top with Night of Navy (again, stamped off first). Additional leaves were stamped on more Basic White, and the flower and extra leaf images were cut out using the coordinating Petal Park Builder Punch. The punched elements were layered onto the die-cut stamped circle using Stampin' Dimensionals. Adhesive-backed Milky Dots in Night of Navy were added as the flower centers. The "Happy Birthday" sentiment, from the Sentimental Park Stamp Set, was stamped in Night of Navy.

The circle focal element was attached to the front panel of the card using Stampin' Dimensionals, and a tied ribbon bow made from the Night of Navy ⅜" Bordered Ribbon was added to the top left corner with a glue dot. A patterned paper panel cut from the Night of Navy sketched grid design from the Regency Park DSP was added to the inside of the card, with an additional 3" stitched circle in Basic White lined up behind the circle on the front of the card to provide a space to write a message.
