Wow! There are 19 (including myself) participating in this first Stamping with Friends blog hop is a sketch challenge. Sketch, layouts, templates...whatever you choose to call them...are a great way to open the creativity gates...especially if you get stuck on where to start a project.
What is a sketch challenge? Simple, a layout/diagram is selected and we create a card. Now, although you'll see the same layout, we won't all choose the same colors, stamp set, designer paper, technique, or embellishment...and some may even change things up a bit.
The sketch chosen was from Freshly Made Sketches, sketch #95 (FMS95). I was a little challenged by the sketch...only because for me I have a difficult time discerning what the measurements are as intended by the designer just by looking at them. I generally prefer sketches where measurements are given so I don't have to guess...or rather "go rogue".To complete this card, I chose Stampin' Up! Eden's Garden. I hope you guys had the opportunity to shop the collection last month because as you now know, the gems and DSP are not available in the current Jan - Jun 2022 Mini Catalog...😧. I used multiple simple techniques: heat embossing, second-generation stamping, and tone-on-tone stamping to create my own background.
I sincerely hope that you enjoy my card and those of the other hoppers as well. The products I used to create the card are listed below. Reminder, you'll only be able to purchase the Stamp/Die Bundle.
